Practice Plus is a New Zealand telehealth service that connects you with a clinician by video or phone, usually the same day. We work as an extension of your regular medical centre, not a replacement for it.

You stay enrolled with your own practice. With your permission, the notes from your Practice Plus appointment are sent back to your regular clinician, so your usual care team keeps the full picture of your health. For anything that needs ongoing management or a physical examination, your own practice is still the best place for your care.

Our clinicians are experienced, registered GPs, urgent care specialists and nurse practitioners, based across the motu. Depending on where you live, they can see your shared health record, lab results and prescribing history, which lets them treat you as part of your wider care team. They can help with most everyday medical needs, order tests, make referrals, issue medical certificates and send prescriptions to your pharmacy. When something needs to be seen in person, they will point you to the right service and connect you back with your regular practice.

Practice Plus is a good option when you need care the same day, after hours, or when getting to your own practice is difficult. We do not enrol patients. We are here to extend the care you already have.
